We are Taylor and Mary Ann Sparks.  

Our latest news is that we recently moved from Houston, Texas to Columbus, Ohio! 

We had QUITE an adventure getting to Ohio! Taylor left Texas the first of September 2003 to come up here and start his new job! Taylor was faced with the massive task of finding a house for us to buy without me there!!! Thank goodness for email and digital cameras! Taylor spent hours looking at houses and then sending me pictures via email!! He managed to find our beautiful new home with the help of our awesome realtor Mark Dandrea.  

Meanwhile back in Houston, the kids and I packed up the house and I tried to keep us all on track and organized! We spent two very HOT HOUSTON NOVEMBER DAYS of 85 plus degrees finishing the packing and having the movers load the truck. With some tears in our eyes and fond memories, we left Houston on November 12, 2003. We arrived late on Friday night, November 13th, and were greeted by MUCH cooler weather than we had been accustomed to! We arose on Saturday morning to spits of snow and ventured out to see our new city and to go and see our new house!

 

We spent our first two weeks in Columbus in a hotel until we closed on our house two days before Thanksgiving! All our furniture arrived on December 1st, and we spent the next week unpacking and settling in! WORD OF ADVICE: I wouldn't recommend moving around two major holidays! We didn't manage to get our Christmas tree up until about a week before Christmas, because A) We couldn't FIND IT! and B) We didn't have the energy! (Traditionally we put it up right after Thanksgiving). Two days before Christmas Jessica and I ended up with the flu, and Jeff and Taylor got it two days after! We were NOT Happy Campers!
