Cleveland HarborFest 2006

Had a great time at the Harborfest, went aboard the Windy II, based out of Chicago, and took a short ride with the family.

The captain was a real pro, spinning the 150 foot vessel around in a space that would have been tight for a 10 foot canoe! :)  He was doing this not once, but several times a day during their 5-day stay in Cleveland! Swinging the stern around and backing up along-side the pier like it was the family car, he made it look very easy.

 Took lots of pictures of rigging, looking for details for my next project.  Some of the ships were simply stunning!  It was a beautiful day, if a bit on the warm side. And the family had a good time, so it's hard to ask for more then that.
